What We're Looking For
Edge Protection Experience
Previous experience installing edge protection systems is highly desirable, with a good understanding of safe installation practices.
CSCS Qualified
A valid CSCS card is required to demonstrate the necessary construction knowledge and site safety awareness.
IPAF Qualified
IPAF certification is preferred, or you must be willing to complete the required training to safely operate MEWPs.
Comfortable Working at Height
You must be confident working at height and understand the importance of following safe working practices at all times.
Willing to Travel & Work Away
Our projects are located across the UK, so you must be prepared to travel and work away from home when required.
What is Edge Protection?
Edge protection is a temporary safety system designed to protect people from falls when working at height. It is commonly installed around the edges of roofs, floors, structures and other exposed areas during construction and refurbishment projects.

At Safe Edge, our operatives install engineered edge protection systems to create a secure barrier around open edges, allowing other trades to carry out their work safely.
What Does an Edge Protection Installer Do?
As an Edge Protection Installer, you'll be responsible for installing, adapting and dismantling temporary edge protection systems on construction sites across the UK.

The role can involve:
Installing temporary handrail and edge protection systems
Install temporary handrail and edge protection systems around exposed edges to help protect workers from falls while construction work is carried out.
Working from MEWPs, access towers and other approved access systems
Providing safe, flexible and reliable edge protection systems designed to suit steel-framed buildings of all types and specifications.
Working as part of a team to complete projects safely and efficiently
Supporting roofing and construction projects nationwide with proven systems, expert operatives and an uncompromising commitment to safety.
Inspecting installations to ensure they are secure and correctly installed
Providing professional installation and support across the UK while maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality and compliance.
Working at height using appropriate access equipment
